Ada Calendar privacy policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Ada Calendar is a private tool run by the Rutter family on its own server for the family's own use. This policy explains what it does with Google account data.

What we access

When a family member signs in with Google and approves access, Ada Calendar can see the list of that person's calendars and read, create, change and delete events on them (the Google Calendar scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar). It does this only to carry out what that person asks the assistant to do.

What we store

Calendar events themselves are fetched from Google when you ask a question and are not kept in a database.

Who sees it

Your calendar data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with other people, including other family members. To answer a request, the text of the relevant events is sent to an AI language model service (Anthropic's Claude) to produce the answer. We do not use it for any other purpose. Nobody reads your calendar data in the course of normal use, although the person who runs the server can technically access the server itself.

Ada Calendar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
